Planning - initial ideas

Josh had wanted it to be about corrupt police and and interrogation, So I worked with him to think out a script and what shots we could include. Our initial rough cut was just the interrogation for two minutes and that immediately brought up the problem of the audience becoming bored. It was also quite dialogue heavy and some speech couldn't be heard. So I decided to change the one scene into multiple scenes, separating it with flashbacks. This meant alterations to the script and call sheet but our budget was still kept to practically nothing apart from £2 for a roll of cling film and red food dye. After this we showed our second rough cut and the only criticisms were that it was slightly confusing whether the flashbacks were flashbacks or flash forwards, so I edited white titles at the bottom of the screen stating the length of time ago it was.
